Dolce & Gabbana F/W 1992

I don't know why but I'm feeling nostalgic right now. Actually, I do feel the same way everyday. Hahaha! Ladies and gents, let us all take a trip down to memory lane. ☺

That shot of Kate and Nadja together can only be described in one word: iconic. And these were the days when Tyra was still a high fashion model. Just look at her in second and fifth shots. ☺

Body by Kloss

As promised, here's the accompanying editorial of Karlie Kloss' Vogue Italia cover shot by Steven Meisel with the styling gig done by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele.

How I wish I have Karlie's body. Especially her legs. I envy her big time! LOL! But seriously, this is one stunning spread. She has officially veered from her teeny, wholesome image to this supermodel, glamazon woman much like the models of the early 90s (Linda, Naomi, Christy, Stephanie, Claudia, Niki, etc.). And you can really tell that the styling work was done by Carlyne 'cause of the use of clothes and accessories. Some of the shots actually remind me of those Gianni Versace ads from, yep, the early 90s again.

FYI: Did you knot that the first image, the opening shot, was actually removed from Vogue Italia's site? Yep, it was.

Enjoy fashion lovers! ☺

Vogue Italia December 2011: Karlie Kloss by Steven Meisel

And the 16 day absence from blogging is over. I'm back! Sorry for not writing anything as I was so preoccupied these past few weeks. Let me make it up to you guys by writing a short entry of this month's issue of Vogue Italia. ☺

Supermodel (Yep, she's reached it in my own opinion) Karlie Kloss nabs the cover shot by resident photographer and star-maker Steven Meisel in a very provocative yet strong pose.

Although her pout looks a bit forced, I still think that this is one stunning cover. Karlie has managed to pull of that supermodel pose so well. One last thing that bothers me, what's up with bow/ribbon/untied knot thing? But one thing's for sure, it's really part of the cover.

I'll post and write about her editorial as well on my next post. Ciao! ☺

Everybody get a Headsprung

Since it's Friday, let's turn the heat up. Or should I say the coldness since it's been raining these past few days.

Ladies and gents, dance your head off. LOL! ☺

UK Vogue August 1962: Grace Coddington by Carapetian

Wow. That's all I could say. This cover, without a doubt, is truly beautiful. The vintage feeling is really evident. Well, it was from the year 1962 so it's obvious. LOL!

I'll always love Ms. Coddington. ♥

This Year's Model

Ever since I proclaimed my love for fashion (Well, I did such thing to myself only. LOL!), I have always been a fan of Karen Elson. Although during my younger years, I had no idea what her name was cause all I knew about her then was just her pale white face with her screaming red hair. Until the internet became a huge hit in our country when I was in high school, I took the chance to search for her name.

What I love about Karen is that she's not just a regular model who poses in front of the camera and struts her stuff on the catwalk but, she has this personality that sets her apart from other models. She has this other thing in her that makes her special. She commands attention in other words. That is why US Vogue made an article about her meteoric rise from the late 90s as one of the it models who ruled not only the pages of some of the major fashion magazine titles but also, the runways for different, important designers at that time.

That Vogue Italia February 1997 cover was her first major fashion magazine cover. ♥ And since then, as from her words, her career went vrooom! ☺

US Vogue December 2011: Charlize Theron by Annie Leibovitz

Academy Award winner Charlize Theron looks stunning on the cover of this month's issue of US Vogue shot by Annie Leibovitz.

I am and will always be a fan of Charlize as she never fails to look beautiful and pull off some stunning photos. This particular cover, on the other hand, just proves her talent as a true fashion magazine cover girl. Although I wouldn't tag this as her best US Vogue cover yet as she has had some covers in the past but still, this one is no exception when it comes to beautiful US Vogue covers. ☺

I'm just a little bit bothered by the third picture from her editorial cause it doesn't look like Charlize. If you just take a closer look of course.

Milo Dinosaur!

Yes, I'm back! Gosh, how I missed blogging (Laughs). So, last Tuesday night, while waiting for Dad and my older brother to pick us up, me, my Mom and my younger sister have decided to get some coffee at Ya Kun Kaya Toast Coffeestall in Mall of Asia while waiting. When we were all deciding on what to order, I couldn't help myself but to get curious on how does this beverage called "Milo Dinosaur" tastes like. So, when the waiter asked me on what I would like to get, I immediately said that I want the Milo drink one. Here's what it looks like:

Tempting, isn't it? The thing that I loved the most about this drink is that it's super loaded with Milo on top. I actually had a hard time drinking it 'cause I was so afraid that the Milo might spill big time. LOL! I suddenly remembered when I was a kid, I would sneak in the kitchen to make some papak of Milo using a spoon. ☺
